I watched Hungry last night (the hippo variety) and it was such a bummer of a movie. I can get behind a campy, so-bad-it's-good, ridiculous movie, but this one was just boring. After Deep Water and Thrash, the creature features have been lacking in 2026.

Finished my millionth* edit on this horror novella. I love the story and want it to live. Gore, guts, and a VHS aesthetic. *a slight exaggeration

I watched Marty Supreme last night. Why was the ping pong movie so friggin' stressful. Safdie does as Safdie does, I suppose.

Paul Thomas Anderson dropped out of NYU film school after two days. He made the decision after a screenwriting professor said “if you’re here to write Terminator 2, just leave now.” His film education was “watching other movies” (and listening to the director’s commentary).
