The Coldspoon Conspiracy lived in Chicago as teenage dweebs for a few months, and Steve Albini was so incredibly sound to us in that time. Got us gold-dust tickets to a long sold out Fugazi show, invited us in to the studio to watch The Breeders record. A legend. RIP
Our album Plays Well With Others was released 20 years ago today! Physical copies long sold out but still available here. Have a listen! thecoldspoonconspiracy.bandc…
It's TWENTY YEARS today since we finished recording our debut album Plays Well With Others in Sun Studios with producer Rob Bochnik. We were just babies! Still available for free download thecoldspoonconspiracy.bandc…
RIP Rick Froberg.
When we played with him in 2009 he watched our soundcheck and gave the house engineer advice on how we should sound in the room.
A gentleman.
I feel privileged to have seen Hot Snakes three times on three different continents after three different albums.
(Bowery Ballroom in New York on Suicide Invoice in 2002, The Corner Hotel in Melbourne on Audit In Progress in 2005, The Grand Social in Dublin on Jericho Sirens in 2019).
An absolute force. Gutted. RIP Rick Fork.
Eye of Night is released today! Thanks to all involved - Rian & Scan for getting it down on the nugs, Phil Manley for mixing, James Plotkin for the Master and @svartrecords for putting it out on delicious gatefold vinyl with incredible art by the legendary Michael Whelan!
Such a huge inspiration to us. Saw him perform many times between Dublin and Chicago in both Sweep The Leg Johnny and Check Engine. Unreal performer. RIP Steve
Someone should book EXTRA LIFE for Dublin! Their new album is incredible and one of the best of 2022.
Our @foggynotions gig with them in @Whelanslive in 2010 is one of my favourite memories of that era (and that was a year we also got to play with Wire and Polvo!)
This Extra Life EU/UK tour in January is shaping up nicely. Will officially announce dates maybe in a month or so.
The one place where we still don't have an iron in the fire is IRELAND. Any lads/lasses who want to book Extra Life, hit me up!
