An excellent initiative by City of Swan to use roadside NBN cabinets in Midland & Woodbridge to present works from the local Art Collection, with @NBN_Australia
On this day 80 years ago, 10/11 July 1942. First Battle of El Alamein, Western Desert, Egypt. In memory of those who served in the battles against tyranny. @AustralianArmy @rhqra
An excellent opportunity at present to see outstanding photojournalism, @WorldPressPhoto 2021 exhibition in Perth, @statelibrarywa , until 20 August. Thought provoking images, and the stories they portray.
Recommend a visit to Nungarin Heritage Agricultural Machinery & Army Museum, in former WWII Army Depot heritage building, WA Wheatbelt; credit to volunteers who enable it to happen.
Strongly recommend visiting this stunning and expansive exhibition from @nma in Perth, before it closes next Monday and tours overseas. A big credit to all involved.
Commendations to @RightTrack_PTA , Public Transport Authority, @Transperth , Governor Stirling SHS students for the fantastic artworks in progress at Woodbridge train station underpass. Wonderful to see excellent public art being created.

Very saddened to learn of Eric Lumsden’s passing. Was a pleasure to work with him as D-G of DoP/Chair WAPC for 7 1/2 yrs and receive his advice in making WA’s planning system responsive to community and future needs. Sincere condolences to Gretchen and family.
Vale & condolences to the family of Ray Owen, one of the strong advocates for water fluoridation in WA in 1960s, to reduce dental decay and improve oral health. Pic taken at Parl House in 2016 to mark 50th anniversary. Coincidentally also my first dentist. @AUS_Dental
Interesting to see #Eucla Telegraph Station ruins a few days ago and compare with first visit in Dec 1960 as a young child. A significant aspect of WA’s and Australia’s history, in linking east & west coasts telegraphically for first time in 1877. @StateHeritage
Well done to Darlington and Gidgegannup Scouts, commemorating centenary of #ArmisticeDay, at Blackboy Hill, Greenmount, location of the training camp from where many Australian soldiers departed for WWI. Remembering those who served and gave their lives. #RememberanceDay2018
For all with whom I’ve discussed residential aged care needs in @CityofKalamunda area over last decade, very pleasing that new Hall & Prior 160 bed development is now underway!
