Short Update: The zkSync airdrop helped generate some buzz in the ecosystem. However, we also saw a lot of FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) and negative community sentiment about their airdrop that we didn’t anticipate. This did not create the momentum we had hoped to launch our collection into. While the MetaZeus 3D NFT collection is almost fully ready, we still want to time the launch better with a more bullish NFT market. It does not make sense to launch the collection just for the sake of launching it. We need good market conditions to live up to the hype. The sale volume of NFTs fell by 44% in Q2🔻. Analysts attribute this decline to a shift in focus from the NFT market to Memecoins, which are experiencing massive trading volumes, reaching up to $3.4 billion in a day! Therefore, we are waiting for the focus to shift back more towards NFTs. Our team is monitoring the market closely and possibly exploring other chains. The project is still focused on zkSync, but if we figure out that NFT action is happening elsewhere, we are not fully opposed to launching there.

For those unfamiliar with the term, metadata is a file attached to the collection that organizes all trait data for the respective NFTs. Each NFT has various categories, traits, and trait values. It's crucial that this data aligns with the graphic creation and each individual NFT. Marketplaces like OpenSea use this metadata to enable filtering and sorting of unique NFTs.
