The newly formed Academy Baseball Association (ABA) has officially launched, bringing together the nation’s premier baseball academies under a single governing body to elevate, legitimize, and grow academy baseball across the United States and Puerto Rico.
Built on the foundation of excellence and development, the ABA introduces a structured, multi-tiered league system with five competitive divisions: Premier, Prospect, Varsity, Junior Varsity (JV), and Middle School — creating a clear and competitive pathway for athletes to grow, develop, and showcase their talent.
Premier Division: Invitation-Only, Nation-Leading Programs
The Premier Division features an elite group of eight founding academies with a proven track record of producing Division I athletes and MLB prospects:
* A3 Academy (Tampa, FL)
* ECA Academy (Goldsboro, NC)
* Elite Squad Academy (Boynton Beach, FL)
* Georgia Premier Academy (Statesboro, GA)
* P27 Academy (Lexington, SC)
* PDG Academy (Fredericksburg, VA)
* TNXL Academy (Ocoee, FL)
* Wellington Sports Academy (Wellington, FL)
These programs represent the highest level of competition in academy baseball nationwide.
Development Through All Levels
The ABA’s additional divisions — Prospect, Varsity, JV, and Middle School — ensure that academies of all sizes and stages have a platform to compete and develop talent. Many of the Premier Division members will field teams in multiple divisions to support athlete development across all age groups.
Additional inaugural ABA members include:
* Clubhouse Performance Academy (Spring Hill, FL)
* Dominion Sports Collective (Chester, VA)
* FTB Academy (Wimauma, FL)
* Kingsmen Academy (Gastonia, NC)
* Premier Prospects Academy (Conyers, GA)
More member programs will be announced in the coming weeks.
Puerto Rico Division in Development
The ABA is in active discussions with top academies in Puerto Rico to form a fully integrated Puerto Rico Division, expanding ABA league play to the island and furthering the organization’s reach and mission.
