Last week I had the privilege to attend NHS Wales Awards 2024 in Cardiff. With WAST winning two separate awards including Effective Care Award for introducing inhaled analgesia for all volunteer Community First Responders Well done all involved including our fantastic volunteers

Due to ongoing pressure at Morriston Hospital’s Emergency Department (A&E), we have declared a Business Continuity Incident – our highest level of escalation. We are seeing very high numbers of patients who are extremely unwell. Please use alternatives to A&E whenever possible.
