What an incredible experience Today I woke up feeling grateful. This campaign gave me experiences, conversations, and relationships that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I heard stories, saw communities I care deeply about, and had conversations that reminded me why this state is worth fighting for. I also had the opportunity to get to know and respect the good men in this race. I believe our friendships will last well beyond election season. I ran this campaign the only way I know how — as David Jones. No pretending to believe something I don’t. No pretending to be someone I’m not. And most importantly: no holding back on the truth in order to protect myself. If you’re wondering how I’m doing — I’m doing just fine. Yesterday, I took 6 of my grandchildren on a John Deere Gator ride through the woods, let them push me in the pool, and relaxed and reflected with my kids - those moments are the prize. Thank you to every person who volunteered, donated, prayed, shared a post, put up a sign, came to an event, or simply believed in me enough to give me a shot. Keep loving Maine. Keep paying attention. Keep speaking your truth. And keep FIGHTING LIKE HELL. — David Jones

It was completely, unapologetically @Jones4Gov . What I’ll carry from this experience is seeing my father up close: a principled man who believes some truths are too important to leave unsaid and who refused to become someone else to win. For me, that matters more than any election result. 🫶🏼♥️

I am the only Republican that showed up to fight for rural Maine’s labor & delivery hospitals! We want it to be easier to have babies in Maine, not harder.

Today is Election Day. Your vote is your voice. If you care about the direction of Maine, don’t assume someone else will show up and make that decision for you. Take a few minutes, cast your ballot, and FIGHT LIKE HELL!! 🇺🇸 #maine #governor #republican

Tuesday, June 9 is decision day. Please don’t wait for someone else to vote for the future you want. I’m not running because I need this job. I’m running because I love this state and I believe Maine is worth fighting for. As your governor, I will Fight Like Hell to Make Maine Great Again. #conservative #votered #republican #maine #fyp

This is a final message to you before the primary. What started as a campaign became thousands of conversations, handshakes, and stories from people across Maine who simply want a state they can afford to live in, raise families in, and feel proud of again. Thank you to everyone who opened their doors, shared their concerns, challenged me, encouraged me, and gave me your time. If I’ve earned your vote, I would be honored to be your number one choice. If not, I humbly ask you to consider making me your number two. No matter who wins, we must continue to Fight Like Hell. “In closing everybody, get loud, fight like hell and make Maine great again!” -@charliekirk11, August 2025 #maine #governor #faith #fyp #viral

Portland, Maine is the #2 most unchurched city in the United States of America. Travis Carey is dedicating his life to changing that.

🍎 Students shouldn’t know their teacher’s politics. Yesterday my granddaughter, who is in kindergarten, asked why there were suddenly “so many rainbow flags in her hallway at school.” Lessons about sexuality to other people’s 5-year-old children needs to stop. When I am governor, the only flags in kids classrooms will the American flag and the Maine flag.

David Jones for Governor retweeted
"I'm not one to sit there and say 'David Jones knows it all,' but David Jones listens, and David Jones continually learns." — David @Jones4Gov, a well-known real estate broker and businessman, is a 2026 Maine Republican gubernatorial candidate. David sat down for an interview with Maine Policy Institute to talk about his unique story, and why he thinks he is the best candidate for governor in 2026. Our conversation covers a lot of ground, including his personal history, his thoughts on the years of the Mills administration, and what he thinks is necessary to create a prosperous Maine. I’ve been a self-employed businessman my entire life. I know a thing or two about regulations and roadblocks. I’m not running to manage the obstacles… I’m running to remove them. Please vote for me June 9th.

Hospital care should not be à la carte… ESPECIALLY when labor & delivery units get kicked off the menu. We want it to be easier to have babies in Maine, not harder. Last night, I asked for Miles L&D at Lincoln Hospital not to close this hospital and pressed for answers families deserve: Why is this happening? There is ALWAYS a solution. Let’s find it. I suggest we also eliminate Certificate of Need. The credit is due to Save Miles Labor and Delivery and the community around Miles - I have been traveling around the state for months and this turnout was incredible to witness - over 300 people showed up. I saw some of my Democrat and Independent opponents in the crowd. Unfortunately, I was the only Republican there either night. I hope I’m wrong… There are 7 candidates in the race yet more than a year into this race, I still haven’t seen evidence beyond campaign-created graphics and recent messaging. Show me speeches, interviews, donations, organizing, endorsements, events, public statements - something that existed before a gubernatorial campaign launched. I have ALL of the above. #maga #therealdeal #trump #maine #fyp

Compassion and accountability can exist at the same time. If I were Governor, I’d require everyone on MaineCare to reapply and verify eligibility. MaineCare should serve eligible Maine residents who legally qualify - not waste, fraud, or abuse. Protect the program. Protect taxpayers. Protect care for those who truly need it.

I sued Janet Mills over Ranked-Choice Voting, believe me - I'm no fan. I will sign the bill to repeal RCV when it reaches my desk. Republicans need to actually understand how RCV works and beat the Democrats at their own game.

🚨🗳️Today, I publicly ranked my full ballot live and unedited. I explained every decision and gave credit where it was due. Agree or disagree — at least you know exactly where I stand.

Today, I held a press conference and filled out a giant ballot to show Mainers exactly where I stand. My rankings: 1. David Jones 2. Ben Midgley 3. Owen McCarthy 4. Johnathan Bush 5. Garrett Mason 6. Robert Wessels I intended to rank Robert Charles #7, but when pen came to paper, it just didn’t feel right. Trust matters and at this point, Robert Charles has not earned mine. I have kind things to say about every person I ranked - this was something I really had to think about. Each of the candidates I ranked has shown up during this campaign to FIGHT LIKE HELL and build a strong Republican Party.
