Replying to @github
Just to be clear: Microsoft’s GitHub was compromised when a Microsoft developer using Microsoft VSCode installed a rogue extension from Microsoft’s VSCode extension library, which is moderated and hosted by Microsoft. I guess I’ll be reevaluating my life choices.

Would be great if @claudeai had as many integrations with @gitlab as it does with @github. Like really great. Wouldn’t have to get Claude to make quite so many yaml files to come close then.

Oh @grind, why oh why oh why is my subscription coming through Evri rather than Royal Mail all of a sudden? I hope it's a one-off... because if not, I guess I'll have to cancel.

Oh @github - do you even?

Not sure if it's an ARC Raiders, Deadlock, or Warcraft kind of rainy day. Related: Will it ever stop raining in the UK?

Blimey - just cancelled my ChatGPT Subscription. My daily go-to has become Gemini over the past two months (Opus 4.5 too, for coding). Discovery and ideation are just so strong in those models, too, that I don't need GPT 5.2 alongside them anymore.

I used to be a daily reader of Slashdot - but being aggressive about people using NextDNS... nah, we're good, thanks...

Shame that @TheRegister didn't reference this video for this IPv6 article - theregister.com/2025/12/31/i… ... youtube.com/watch?v=_y36fG2O…

Hi @Tesla any chance we could fix the bug where sending a destination to the car from the app when it’s in valet mode results in command failed? It’s obviously right to fail but the error message could actually say why.

I always love seeing who has forked my Covid-19 hack project ssosync... turns out @Tailscale and @NotionHQ! Wow! That's so damned cool. One day, I'll write up how I caused a ? email with that project inside Amazon when I surprised the SSO team with its release.

I’m genuinely confused when Labour says they haven’t broken their manifesto… manifesto says they won’t increase income tax. Says it pretty clearly. But they 100% have if you read the HMRC tax free savings newsletter.

Turns out @Akamai salespeople are ambulance-chasing after the @Cloudflare outage... constantly hounded by their sales drones. Which is only reallllly funny because we use @fastly ...

Someone has declined the invite. You have been returned to the front of the queue. (cue: constant NOISE from WoW)

Everyone calling the AWS outage a 'timing issue' or 'concurrency is hard' is forgetting that yes, those things are super super hard. You know what's not hard... validation. My question isn't about concurrency... mine is... why was an upstream service happy to receive 'null'...

Is it just me, or did today’s incident leave @awscloud looking unsettlingly perplexed by the emergent behavior of their own systems?

I see that @github just likes to go full dark pattern now. Good to know. Look I love AI tooling but let’s not resort to horrid dark patterns of getting to charge more. Not okay.

So I get I’m going against the grain here for many but… bar a few bugs, I massively prefer the new Liquid Glass UI. The unlock animation is probably a bit too slow. But I’m finding everything a lot clearer to read and use.
