What a day we had cumulating the end of our W&W ocean module! We dissected a squid to examine its structures and functions!! We then created presentations using the text to teach others about squids! 🦑🦑🤩@JAE_stem @co_sumner

This week we had our 3rd grade annual Wax Museum! Students spent several weeks reading, researching, and creating a biography on a historical figure in history. Then they built a 3D figure to represent their figure’s contribution to society! @JAE_stem

This week we had a BLAST exploring the important events of the Apollo 11 mission, created a living timeline sequencing those events, and acted out the astronauts’ point of view with a tableau! 🚀@JAE_stem @WitWisdomELA

We worked hard learning about sequence and cause/effect this week, but we also learned about teamwork, courage, and celebration with the Boosterthon team! On run day, we wore pink in honor of our sweet music teacher! We are a school family! 💕@JAE_stem

To preview our new text, each group became “experts” on a different chapter and created a presentation to share with the class which included interesting facts, new vocabulary and an illustration to portray their chapter! 🦑🐋@JAE_stem @co_sumner

This week, we explored how text features add to our knowledge in our new text Shark Attack! Students then wrote paragraphs explaining how divers and swimmers stay safe from sharks, with their own added text features. @JAE_stem @co_sumner
