The World Cup fields in the U.S.:
-- Took 6-8 months to grow at sod farms across country.
-- There are either warm weather (Bermuda grass) or cool weather (Kentucky bluegrass with rye) fields. Domes such as SoFi in LA considered cool weather. MetLife in NJ is warm weather b/c of summer heat and home of final.
-- Turf at MetLife and SoFi remains underneath layers of sand, cloth and the grass.
-- Grass fields were transported rolled up in refrigerated trucks. Grown sod-on-plastic which allows root system to remain intact.

This is what it looked like around New York New Jersey Stadium (aka MetLife Stadium) this week for the World Cup. They built a fence around the outside of the stadium. Looks like they built a little city.
First game in NJ is Brazil-Morocco. Final is there on July 19.

John Harbaugh said Malik Nabers told him he expects to be in NJ most of the next seven weeks the Giants to rehab his knee.
Nabers is "doing great," per Harbaugh. Thinks he made really good progress the past few weeks.
But even when Nabers initially gets back on the field, whenever that may be, it might not be so easy. He'll still be building. He's returning from a serious knee injury.

The Giants kicking competition hasn't looked like much a competition this spring. Undrafted rookie Dominic Zvada has been consistently good. Veteran Jason Sanders was cut. Ben Sauls has struggled badly.
During minicamp this week, Zvada has made all 13 of his FG attempts. Sauls is 7 of 14.
Kicking competition may actually be over before the summer.
