By the way you can't call me racist for reporting my actual lived experience at this movie theater. I also didn't mention any races here. How do you know I wasn't talking about some feral Koreans and Japanese?
I watched Backrooms in Atlanta and apparently it was in the hood. Kids fought in the parking lot. People walked in and out of the theater the whole showing like it was a movie buffet, once near the house end with their phone flashlight on. Here was the seat. I have syphilis now.

Disclosure Day isn't a Spielberg movie, it's a Weirdberg movie. Weirdberg made Terminal, Hook, 1941, Always, Crystal Skull, War Horse. Weirdberg has all the skills of Spielberg, but is more sentimental and slapstick. I dig Weirdberg and love when he emerges to rile the natives.

One of the defining characteristics of Weirdberg films is it's divisive as opposed to the collective approval of Spielberg. No two Weirdbergers will agree which Weirdberg films are great or terrible.

A $750,000 movie isn’t a $750,000 movie if it’s acquired for $15 million and the company gets EP credits. It’s now a $15,750,000 movie.
What Obsession opinion will have you like this?

Youtube has a really bad UI issue where I thought @MattWalshBlog was commenting racial stuff on this clip about how to ship comic books.

Disclosure Day: do you know what happens if he just uploaded all those files to the internet? Nothing. It disappears into 4chan. If you had footage of Gavin Newsom snorting coke and having sex with Karen Bass, you'd want that interjected into every mainstream media broadcast.

Friday night at the gym and it's packed with young people. What the fuck are you doing Gen Z? You can do that after 40. Get out of here. Go the club.

I got in a fight on Twitter about Spielberg camera design with a generator operator today. That's the problem with being Korean. I will fight anyone.

With his $16 million a year, I bet you his business manager had him invested in a lot of Tesla and SpaceX stock, and at the minimum mutual funds that do. Performative rich guy move. I respect the game.

As much as we talk about Spielberg's blocking, he's also one of the best Hitchcock style editors. His shot placement is as good as his camera moves. Not to mention his sound and music design. It's how he fluidly uses any tool with no mandate that makes him special. He's a master at everything.

I'm accused of having a cutty style on my movies but you might be surprised how many of those "cuts" are in camera moves.

Episode long One Takes™ I dismiss. It's everyone in a room deciding they're going to do it from producers, execs, writers. They feel contrived and forced. Spielberg's oners aren't mandated. He just does them when he feels they're right. He also inserts when needed.
Replying to @JosephKahn
There was literally a TV show a year ago with episode-long one takes, and everybody went crazy about it... Generally you're right, but it's absurd to say you don't see that stuff when the oner is the go to method when a director wants to show off, even in TV.

Also doing a 30 minute oner is NOT what Spielberg does.

Kind of a good day to pick up stocks as the market is being drained to buy SpaceX.

You don't see a lot of Spielberg blocking because producers hate that shit. You can't edit around it. Definitely not in TV - but movies are basically TV now. You've got to cover everything so they can get in the edit and change it. I also think the audience now has been trained for vanilla coverage. Don't move the camera too much, get your close-ups and reverse shots.

Also you need REAL actors to pull that off. You can't cut around bad performances. They've got to nail it. A lot this modern improvisational coverage acting will not be able to be saved in the edit.

The Hae Min Lee murder is infuriating, especially with Adnan Sayeed free. Here's a great breakdown of the bullshit cell phone defense Serial convoluted. Adnan was at the murder site at the time she was murdered, period. youtu.be/zfHzg10rwQw?is=kXr8…
While you guys continue to fight about that Korean art director girl, I'm getting riled up watching a video about the Korean girl that got murdered by Adnan Sayeed but everyone in the Left defending him. Fuck y'all. youtu.be/n64tpGaYRsM?si=95Eu…
