I build tech stuff and travel. Meta-programming, ML and breaking stuff. Lost less than $100m. Want to work at @Chilis or @McDonalds

Developing on the go is my new focus. Went on a long walk last night, and had so many ideas I wanted to collaborate with AI on, but mobile isn't there yet Genuinely excited for the mobile IDE, stoked about producing quality while on a 4 hour walk or in-between activities with fam and friends

Finally got a response from Anthropic about the usage issues after 2 months Boilerplate about service outages… not even my issue Replied to clarify and got an AI bot that refused to get the issue Reluctantly I guess chargeback route. Anthropic sucks, hope they turn around Codex has been great (other than UI gen) even if OpenAI as a company gives weird vibes

Waiting kills joy
One of the underrated reasons Linear is so popular with so many people is they have an internal target that nothing in their interface should take more than 300ms to render. They keep fixing regressions whenever it happens. It’s very hard to retrofit this culture: look at JIRA…

GitHub Copilot was insane value, 72x ROI o7 Probably Codex and some open weights going forward
Replying to @edzitron
Just checked my $39 plan usage, which is $72 token dollars for $1 in billed for April Good while it lasted

Still no response from support btw, coming up on two months
Happy Friday! We've reset everyone's 5-hour and weekly rate limits.

Grew up in an area with orchards and they pronounced them ‘ammonds’ The joke was that they ‘shook the L’ out of them (they violently shake the trees to harvest the nuts)

Honestly, fuck almonds

Brutal…
Remember when Jarred said that Bun was only possible in a highly specialized snowflake language like Zig and that they HAVE to use h1-b workers because only people from the Zag region can truly speak Zig? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

AI kinda of sucks for ML. I've tried to have multiple LLMs generate models to solve a problem. At least 70% of the time they craft a model where they input the label into the model and then give a congratulatory pat on the back Or they randomize selections around GT Cheaters

17c a diaper at Walmart in CA
One of the least effective ways to subsidize kids! CA is spending $20M to give 100k newborns 400 diapers each, ~50c per diaper. Just send huggies on Amazon for 25c! Exempting diapers from sales tax: smart policy. This: dumb and convoluted.

"We solved sycophancy! Introducing our new feature: Gaslighting!" Forgot how irritating GTP can be some times

LLMs remember too much Humans' advantage is the ability to forget

Git worktrees are #1 reason for agents losing their homework

Just sitting in the background... haven't interacted in hours I think Adobe has been vibe coding Need to cancel CS tbh

> Ask GTP 5.5 to create a UI that does X > Creates a UI with labels describing the design Why is it like this?

They need to have more leads for this feature

Depression is weird I always struggle the most when things are seemingly the best Maybe I feel I don't deserve it Totally irrational, hate it

> take stand against unrestricted military use > mainstream darling as ‘ethical’ AI lab > unbelievable growth > proceed to do every shady business practice known to man There’s a lesson somewhere in there
anthropic might actually be the bad guys of this story

LLMs aren't perfect, but they are a hell of a lot faster than typing.

Ime, users have no idea what they want until you show it to them An immense amount of work and thought goes into making great products that is entirely separate from the code
No, software is not dead. Everyone is NOT going to "just spin up an agent and vibe code their own apps" when they don't even know what a file explorer is. Stupid concept I see people talk about all the time
