The Chesterfield County Police Department said speeding in school zones is a significant issue in the county, a pattern coming to light during a traffic study conducted in 2023.

Improving safety is the reason behind a three-year project to add vestibules to school entrances. Some schools already had secure vestibules, and now all schools in Chesterfield County Public Schools will have a locked interior space at the front door. šŸ“¹ youtu.be/Obvk4RJVwY4

Motorists: be alert for school buses and excited children crossing the street or walking/biking through neighborhoods as they go to and from school. Remember, it's the law to stop for buses with flashing lights an extended stop sign.
