Your Cats complete the program sweep for the week going 6-0! Wildcat fans were treated to a heck of a game Thursday night with the Cats finishing it 8-0! Even with the game only lasting an hour and 28 minutes- it was jam packed with non stop action! From stellar defensive plays, home runs, and 2 fast paced pitchers for both teams who didn’t surrender a single base on balls. Josh DeBons (@JoshDebons) now claims the top spot for the most career wins on the mound from Legend Trent Collier (@TrentCollier_19) with ANOTHER CGSO needing only 84 pitches through 7 innings! DeDawg struck out 7 while spreading out 7 singles on 76% strikes! The offense scored quick and in bunches having 12 hits on the night with Hudson Casey (@Hudsoncasey2028) going 3-3 with and inside the park home run, and a back pick to finish the game! Joshua Viars (@JoshuaViars) was 2-4 with a triple 2 runs, RBI, and a SB and 7 put outs on defense with great plays at shortstop. Landon Dean (@_landondean_) added an Oppo Taco Home Run to go along with a fantastic Superman diving catch in centerfield. It was a Josh Showcase tonight out in Greenville as your Wildcats finish the week 4-0 with JV and Varsity winning by double digits on Friday (22-2 and 14-2). Senior RHP Josh DeBons @JoshDebons tossed 4 out of 5 innings on the night surrendering 2 hits, 0 bb and 0 ER while striking out 7. Senior Infielder Joshua Viars @JoshuaViars continued his impressive week adding a 3-3 day with a Triple, 3 RBI, 2 Runs and a BB on the night. The Wildcats had 7 extra base hits on the night with Cole Muir (@colemuir9), Jacob Richey (@richey_jacob15) and Landon Dean (@_landondean_) having RBI Triples to go along with Viars. Andrew Curry (@Andrew_Curry6), Hudson Casey (@Hudsoncasey2028), and Josh Richardson (@Jrriches32) were all 1-2 with a walk and RBI Doubles of their own. It was DeDawg Day at The Grove for Hope Night on Friday vs Denison! Senior RHP Josh DeBons @JoshDebons dominated the mound making it 2 complete game shutouts in a row. He went 7 ip, giving up 2 hits, while striking out 10 and allowing 0 free bases. Senior Infielder Andrew Curry @Andrew_Curry6 had a great day at the plate with a Home Run, RBI, BB and 2 Runs Scored to complete A 3 QAB Day. Sophomore Catcher @Hudsoncasey2028 was 2-3 with an RBI Double and 0 passed balls behind the plate. Game 2 against El Paso Americas- Sophomore @MasonLWebb4 got the W on the bump going 5 2/3 allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 5!
