ArcBrush v1.3.1 is out! A polish-and-power release, now with in-app updates, a new Pixel Sort glitch node, and subtle interface animations across the whole app. ✨ UI motion: subtle, opt-out animation everywhere. The canvas glides when framing/zooming, nodes fade in, wires and evaluations pulse. Turn it all off in Settings → Interface. 🌀 New node, Pixel Sort: glitch & drip effects along rows, columns, angles, or radial spokes, with one-click presets, six sort keys, and mask support. ⬇️ In-app auto-update: ArcBrush now downloads, verifies, installs, and relaunches itself on Windows & macOS (no more manual reinstall). 🔷 Shape node: drag to move/scale/rotate right on the canvas, plus an optional Size Ref input to match a connected image's dimensions. 📤 Export filename tokens: new {label}, {time}, {quality}, and {compression} tokens. 🔔 Notifications redesigned: toasts now stack, are color-coded by severity, and pause on hover. …plus a big batch of fixes: undo/redo, export paths & tokens, tooltips, eyedropper color fidelity, and Linux Wayland clipboard VRAM reporting.

🟪ASTROPOETICON 🟪 Sixteen poems by Herbert W. Franke, transformed into immersive sceneries by invited members of our generative art community to commemorate the Herbert W. Franke centennial in 2027 👉Quote by Joshua Davis: I started writing code to make art back in 1994. At the time I had no idea if others pioneered this way of thinking. So, I started doing my due diligence and was thrilled to find all the people like Herbert before me who were paving the way for us to express ourselves this way. I am not only truly grateful but also humbled to be part of this collaboration ASTROPOETICON. Thanks Joshua, the Foundation is honored to have you on board. Stay tuned for more quotes from our invited artists! @JoshuaDavis @_weidi_ @marioecg @Studio_De_Wilde @Marteriumx @Sko_hr @piotrbinkowski @loackme_ @plutonicmind @_juanrg92 @JuliusHorsthuis @HerbertWFranke

ASTROPOETICON by Herbert W. Franke set into immersive scenery by members of our generative art community Cosmic electrical storms gamma-ray cascades darkness, cold – frozen light the ocean of the vacuum @HerbertWFranke poem visualized by Joshua Davis @JoshuaDavis Joshua is an American pioneer of generative art and creative coding. Since the mid-1990s, he has used algorithms and code to create complex visual artworks. He programs his own algorithms, often using Processing or Flash, which employ mathematical rules to generate dynamic abstractions and multimedia works. Through his film studio, he has also designed visuals and stage designs for artists such as Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Tool and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I am honored that he is part of the project.

🟪ASTROPOETICON 🟪 16 space poems by Herbert W. Franke launch of a multimedia project with invited generative artists from three continents clebrating Herbert's 100th birthday in 2027 "Destination unknown solar sails wide unfurled riding on the ion beam a safe haven: far beyond space and time." this is how ASTROPOETICON beginns ... The foundation launched the multimedia project ASTROPOETICON as a special tribute to Herbert W. Franke. It is based on a cycle of sixteen poems of the same name that Herbert W. Franke wrote in 1979 for an art book with works by the space artist Andreas Nottebohm. They were translated into English by James Ginzburg and narrated by Eric Ash in a studio recording. The poems explore the physical laws governing the cosmos and the evolutionary processes within it, culminating in the emergence of intelligence. For this immersive multimedia production, the foundation invited artists from three continents. Starting today, I will introduce the participating artists. @HerbertWFranke @JuliusHorsthuis @piotrbinkowski @plutonicmind @Studio_De_Wilde @JoshuaDavis @Natalia_Oliwiak @marioecg @Marteriumx @Juanrg922 @loackme_ @_weidi_ @Sko_hr

I had so much fun acquiring the Squiggle that it unlocked a whole evening of collecting. I also ended up with a lot of work from @REAS , @Jen_Stark , @JoshuaDavis , and @ninachanel ... It was quite a day.

In the studio I drive a lot of Linux distros. Arch NIRI, Ubuntu Server, and my daily driver has been popOS... But tonight I installed PikaOS Gnome (49) and wow. It's really good / wiki.pika-os.com/en/home / I think its time to swap my new daily driver.

W1 Archive: Digital artist @JoshuaDavis breaks down the custom software behind his work This isn’t AI. It’s a self-built system, coded to translate intuition, emotion, and control into digital form. A reminder that behind powerful digital art is often deep craftsmanship, not automation.
