We welcome manuscripts providing insight into the mechanisms underlying behavior and brain (dys)function. Editor: Wim E. Crusio. Publisher: BioMed Central.
Today the 2023 #impactfactors were published by @Clarivate and BBF got again a strong IF: 4.7, largest of any behav. neurosci. journal (our closest competitor scoring just 3.0). Many thanks to our authors, reviewers, and associate editors, whose hard work is behind this success.
We celebrate the holiday...by providing you with an updated comprehensive list of POSTDOC fellowships.
For each of the 312 entries, we provide a description to of the fellowship, deadline, $ amount, and eligibility criteria.
Good luck!

Changing your hypothesis after you get results that don't confirm it is unscientific. Feel free to submit your paper to @JournalBbf (Behavioral and Brain Functions; if it falls within our scope).
Trying to submit a paper where our hypothesis was wrong (shocking, I know🙀)
A reviewer is insisting that we change our hypothesis to what *actually* happened, instead of what we *hypothesized* would happen. Do ppl do this?
(yes, pre-reg would avoid this but hindsight is 20/20)
A reminder to register for our workshop, to be held in Banff, CAN this September. Early-bird registration ends in ONE WEEK. Find more information over on the website ebps2024.azuleon.org
We will be releasing more promo materials featuring the symposia over the coming weeks.
3 open postdoc positions in my lab in Paris!
1) With @Nelson_Rebola: metabolic control different neural connections - experience in ephys/imaging
2) Funded by @KavliFoundation - experience in cell neuroscience
3) With @Drosostalis - experience in flies & imaging
This is us!👇
Our latest paper is out @Nature!!

By exploiting the genetic identity of premotor neurons in the SC, Self-inactivating Rabies, in vivo ephys and computational modelling, we challenged the current view on sensorimotor alignment.

I’m still recruiting for a research assistant position at UAB.
Sadly, it turns out, I can’t sponsor a visa for those positions, but if you’re authorized to work in the US and and would like to learn about organoids, iPSCs, and neurodegenerative diseases reach out!
