It's out! I enjoyed this project so much and am super excited about the resulting story.

Picking a color scheme is one of my favorite parts of presentation-making. It's just so nice to see how much more coherent the story looks when everything matches.

I'm working from home, it smells like spring outside, and I'm having flashbacks to last March. It's like time hasn't passed except I'm significantly more exhausted.

FULL AMANDA GORMAN POEM: “We will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one ... There is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” The 22-year-old is the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history: nbcnews.to/3isX8JY

I think I'm going to rewatch @TheAmandaGorman's poem again. Maybe multiple times. Wow.

What happened at the U.S. Capitol today was an insurrection, incited by the President of the United States. romney.senate.gov/romney-con…

Let’s just be clear about something: The reason the Capitol police were slow to respond is because they gave these white people the benefit of the doubt and treated it like a joke. Their reaction isn’t the same because they see black people as a threat that needs to be eliminated

The White House is in touch with some of the armed insurrectionists at the Capitol. Totally normal.

A source close to the White House who is in touch with some of the rioters at the Capitol said it's the goal of those involved to stay inside the Capitol through the night.

As someone who is spending Thanksgiving far away from my family, this frustrates me a lot. =/

Experts, 3 months ago: If you want to have a semi-normal Thanksgiving follow these simple rules. Public: nah, seems like a hassle? Experts, now: in person Thanksgiving is probably not a good idea anymore🤷🏼‍♀️ Public: what?! how could you let it get this bad?!
☝️Scientists and medical experts are not ruining Thanksgiving. Ignoring us all is what achieved that.

I keep thinking about the network physics that could come out of everyone's overlapping covid-19 bubbles. For example, treat each shared member as a contact point between two bubbles and see how close to system-spanning (or town-spanning) the network is.

Which is to say, your covid pod/bubble/thing might only have 6 people, but if all your group-mates have different bubbles, it's not very useful.

Covid19 Christmas suggestions: watch as many of these movies as you can (there are SO many). Compare notes on story quality and patterns with friends (how many gazebos did you see?). Or just read the awesome list. npr.org/2020/11/12/933843001…
