Apparently, Rory has donated the whole of his Masters prize money ($4.2m/£3.1m) to Mencap, a Northern Island charity which supports thousands of people with a learning disability.

John Kasich once said “if you’re not concerned about it because it isn’t happening to you, it will.” I paraphrase. Rings true so often.

Think @justinprose99 represents so many things that Rory does. He works his butt off in pursuit of the dream. Complete and utter dedication to the sport. But on top of that, what a magnanimous man in defeat and an amazing classy ambassador for our sport. His day will come again I hope. @fooch97 in a similar vein, classy at the end after an incredible ten birdie final round. He said his man has another major in him, he’s not wrong and the margins are so fine with such incredible athletes. As people, they all win for me. Pure class. 👌🏼

27 years plus in the making!

He was an 18 year old that I was sure would be successful. Little did I know he would be an historical figure in the game! Nice young guy, seems a really good man. Very happy for him.👍👏 Rory, enormous respect for someone who struggles and overcomes. So deserving! Say hi soon👍

Oh my! Officially old. I first walked with Rory at Carnoustie. He was 18. Just saw his interview, and he is graying at the temples! Yikes. Time marches on.
