I need to cope this way at the news that yet another ERL (one with a deep "brotherhood" with the Italian community as @MisterShark_ knows) has fallen. And as always, broadcast crew is the one tanking the heavy blow, and friends/old colleagues are left without a job overnight.

I've made a handful of jokes in between the serious tweets today but I really want to make something very clear. - This mismanagement of the NLC is not a one off in the ERLs. - This specific situation is unique in the opportunity Leaguesgg had with LR to potentially build some semblance of anything that could potentially be sustainable, which is what makes it sting more. Worse choices couldn't have been made in the off season. - This is technically a symptom of co-streaming via incorrect learned lessons from why the LR project was so special. (You can't just chuck together streamers and pray, who would have thought) - This is what happens when people who don't understand the ecosystem intimately are given positions of power they shouldn't be in, additionally without appropriate council. - The real tragedy is in the jobs lost and the bleed up affect of the NLC not functioning well. Historically the region has fed a lot of broadcast talent upwards to tier 1. This also includes behind camera roles and of course players too. - There has never been a worse time to be a caster in League outside of a tier 1 broadcast. The NLC was the only realistic path to potentially go on to a tier 1 broadcast as a native caster. - We're at a point of no return. Co-streaming is massive but it is on TO's to appropriately implement elements of it that don't strip away important facets of what a broadcast provides, namely the ability of casters to provide narratives and story telling to have a more connected community overall. Nor use co-streaming as a means as cost saving.
