Congratulations @cassidycroci, this looks like great stuff!
It was a pleasure to work with Aquilia, a British children’s magazine, on their December #Vikings issue! The issue is a mix of facts and fun that will hopefully inspire the next generation of Vikingologists! Plus the spreads by different illustrators are simply gorgeous!

My new book is out in the world! GOLD ON THE HORIZON explores the literary landscape of Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. How does Susan echo Anglo-Saxon poets? What is Eustace's connection to The Faerie Queene? What about the Blowing Stone? And much more...

A hefty lump of Flint/Chert from the Papay shore today. This rock type is completely absent in Orkneys geology; but occasionally found as glacially transported pebbles (usually on east side beaches) or, like this, a 'ballast stone' from the days of wooden ships. @BritGeoSurvey
