VIDEO: Bulls comeback in the Finals without MJ.
In Game 6 of the 1992 Finals the Bulls were down 17 points at the end of the 3rd quarter.
With MJ (and their 3rd best player Horace Grant) cheering on the BENCH, the Bulls reserves and Pippen closed the 17 point gap to just 3 points in a matter of minutes. No MJ, no problem.
It wasn’t just the Bulls’ 2nd 3peat where they had by far the best roster in the NBA. It was during their 1st 3peat as well.
What happened when LeBron went to the bench? Could his teams do this? Could any superstar’s team do this in the modern era outside of the KD Warriors who everyone puts an asterisk on?
Keep in mind the Blazers’ best player and arguably the 3rd best basketball player in the world Arvydas Sabonis was stuck overseas.
That is MJ’s legacy: The most help and the most luck.
But sure let’s all judge Wemby for losing in the finals. 👍🤣
Maybe he should have gone to the bench and let the reserves take over … oh wait only MJ can do that and still win.
The more ya know. 🫡
