I’m sure there’s plenty of good CRO people out there. I’m a very happy client of @JuliansDigital and Clayton at Convertibles. They have a unique testing methodology and are doing col stuff with AI to guide the roadmap.

A test reshuffled halfway is a test that can't win.

Initial testing, no, Fable is definitely not AGI. Useful to drop the expectation that some model will come in and do all your work. The best quality outputs are still human brain (ideally big) with a single-threaded AI agent flow, prompting from real expertise and adding quality context sources.

We shipped a range of free CRO tools for various ecom metrics, check them out here - convertibles.dev/pages/tools. Let me know any feedback, or how they can be improved.

Looking for a killer CRO person, NA timezone, no DMs please, just referrals. Who's impressed you?

If Claude Code is failing to follow instructions from CLAUDE MD or memory, give hooks a go.

Lots of caveats to this data and why different brands with different traffic mixes would show up - but was shocked at how large the spread was on RPV across storefronts

You can build a landing page in an hour now. That's exactly the problem. When everyone can build fast, knowing what to build is the only edge left.

The business farmer vs the business hunter: Hunters chase - new deals, new markets, new revenue. Farmers cultivate - systems, margins, retention, consistency. Most founders only know how to hunt. So the business gets bigger every year, never better. A business built on hunting dies the day the hunter stops. A farm keeps producing.

Great alternate POV.
We’ve automated every single thing we can @every with AI agents. And yet there’s way more human work to do than ever. We’ve gone from 4 -> 30 human employees since GPT-3. I wrote a report on the structural reasons: how AI makes expert competence cheap, why that drives up demand for experts, and why the dynamic only intensifies as we approach AGI. After Automation: every.to/p/after-automation

First rule of CRO - be clear. Second - confirm rule 1.

Biggest SEO productivity hack - connect Claude Code to Shopify via a custom app API access, give it read/write access to content. Then do the same for Google Search Console access. Changes applied instantly, no need for manual copy/pastes, source data immediately ingested and analyzed for improvements and action points.

The real ROI of AI isn't doing the same work faster, it's doing work you'd never have attempted.

Surveys - the biggest leverage/insights, absolutely free, no-brainer thing to do. Too few operators are close to their customers.

First signs of the business starting to become more independent. Deep work galore. "Think with the end in mind"

Subscription revenue is the closest thing to magic in DTC. IF it works. Don't force it. Dig through your data, and most importantly, listen to your customer.
