For six months, my mum lived in hospital while she went through rounds of intensive chemotherapy and eventually a stem cell transplant. During that time the NHS became our world. The doctors, nurses and support staff did far more than provide treatment. They looked after our whole family. My mum faced everything with unbelievable strength. Today, we have reached an incredible milestone. One hundred days after her stem cell transplant my mum has been told she is in remission. After everything she has been through, that moment meant everything to our family."
