People who are sick of hearing about the rise of antisemitism in the United States often refuse to acknowledge that the problem exists in the first place. The Jewish people are not the cause of all the bad things in the United States. Such tropes have been used for centuries to scapegoat Jews during times of social, political, and economic uncertainty. Their resurgence today is not the result of new evidence or legitimate grievances, but the recycling of old prejudices that have repeatedly been proven false.

Social media platforms amplify poisonous ideas when they don't remove comments that share extreme sentiments directed toward Jews, Muslims, Mormons, etc. There is a big increase in thinking with the mob on social media, as opposed to thinking critically, verifying the information you share, and being an honest broker of information online. It doesn't take more than five, maybe ten minutes to verify a story before sharing it. Just because something triggers an emotional response doesn't mean that information is true. Just because it confirms your bias doesn't mean it's true.

There are a lot of so called investigators these days who have no investigative experience. What they are good at doing is creating viral threads with missing context and inflaming tensions on hot-button issues. You'll see threads that say things like "follow the money" from people who have never followed the money in their lives. But because they have large online followings, their followers amplify their shoddy research and think they are somehow contributing to justice in the world.

My last living grandparent passed away last night. She had a terrible infection and dementia. She went peacefully. And she’s in a better place now. We throw these words around when loved ones die, but think of the power that comes with those words, they’re in a better place. It’s a fantastic thought and for many like myself a core belief in relation to where we are going when we die, that better place. A place without suffering or sorrow. A place of beauty and tranquility. A place where love, selflessness, kindness, and compassion are the most powerful forces. I believe such a place exists. One of the biggest problems today is that we have a ton of commentators and podcasters who act as if they know just about everything and have massive followings that treat their commentary as fact or gospel. They talk as if they have a background in most subjects at a high level, when in reality, they might know something valuable about two or three things at that level. And they've created these social media mobs that go after anyone who gains a little bit of traction or attention for calling them out.
