The ACT has commendably whitelisted the AEC website for its detainees, enabling them to enrol to vote online, representing a large improvement after only 5% of eligible detainees in the previous federal election were enrolled to vote. @NSWJustice are yet to follow suit.

Prison staff are advised by the AEC to assist in this process. With the Voice to Parliament Referendum polls closing on 8pm Monday 18th September, it is imperative that other States and Territories follow the path set out by the ACT.
