DEEP SOUTH FLOODING: A slow moving tropical system will meander north over the next few days and drag tropical moisture with it, bringing torrential rain chances to repeated areas. As a result, the Weather Prediction Center has released 4 straight days of Moderate (level 3/4) risks for excessive rain for the Gulf Coast and Deep South.
This system developed over the gulf and has been steadily affecting land ever since, saturating ground soil in areas already expected to get copious amounts of rain. Localized areas can see upwards of 4โ of rain.
