Some personal news: I've joined Variational as head of product. I am now responsible for driving the product’s transition from crypto to RWAs. As a long time crypto builder, this is the first time in a while that I'm waking up genuinely excited about what I’m shipping. Beyond the mission, I’ve been incredibly impressed by the caliber of the team here @variational_io is the universal broker. We aggregate liquidity across all perps so users get the best execution in one place. We've facilitated $200B of volume, with current OI at $650M. The RWA category is already bigger than most people realize. RWA perps are now ~50% of onchain volume and the main driver of growth. We’re partnering with the largest exchanges and market makers in tradfi to bring their liquidity to Variational. This means the same depth as tradfi, the best funding rates in the industry, and a breadth of perp markets that don’t exist anywhere else. I won't frontrun the full announcement but that's where 100% of our time is going if you trade perps in size, specifically rwas, dm me so I can get you the benefits of early access and get your feedback built into the product.

It pays to use Variational
When you hold a long position on Variational for a stock or ETF that pays dividends, you receive dividend payments as funding.

Variational has listed 28 RWA markets in the past ~3 weeks. By tapping into existing liquidity instead of needing to line up new market maker subsidies for each new market, Variational lists RWA markets faster, and can maintain more liquid RWA markets than on-chain CLOBs.

✨LIFE UPDATE✨ I’ve joined @variational_io as Head of APAC Growth. Over the last few years, I’ve traded, built communities, and helped grow perp venues from the ground up. One thing I’ve learned is to trust my gut when the mission and people feel right. After spending time with Lucas and Ed, that feeling was very clear. They’re extremely smart, thoughtful, and deeply focused on where onchain trading is headed. As a trader, I’ve always cared most about execution, liquidity, and getting filled when it matters especially across RWAs and long-tail assets where good liquidity is hardest to find. That’s what made Variational’s RFQ approach click for me. Bringing real TradFi liquidity onchain is what I believe can unlock the next wave of growth for RWA perps, majors, and everything in between. So DM me if you trade RWAs, majors, or esoteric altcoins. Big or small, I’m here for all of it 😉 ✨POSITION UPDATE✨ Short blockspace / Long context-windows Disclaimer : NFA ✌️

Markets are becoming software. Variational's Pre-IPO listings bring traditionally private market opportunities into a more programmable financial system. Trade listings from companies like SpaceX, Anthropic, OpenAI and more with @variational_io on Arbitrum now.

To be fair if you think BTC will be the global default store of value owning 4% and climbing is pretty egregious and not sustainable For context Elon at $1T of net worth (with a global combined wealth of $550T) is only 0.18%
I'm imagining the bears who think that Bitcoin is so weak that if you buy 4% of it and talk a lot, you can destroy the whole network. It's not even a person, but a group. Bought 4%. Like, somehow the key weakness of Bitcoin is that if someone buys 4% of it, everything fails.

To clarify a few things about @variational_io as i'm seeing a lot of misconceptions about how our model really works: 1) our broker-like model is intended to aggregate available liquidity across multiple venues in the market. This is especially powerful for RWA perps, where we can port liquidity from tradfi sources (dealers, exchanges, etc) and offer execution costs comparable to off-chain traditional venues 2) OLP runs a full market making system. the main takeaway is we can often provide high quality execution which might not be possible on a single venue. OLP does not countertrade users and does hedge on net 3) if we source liquidity from exchange A, usually we would also have venues B and C, letting us aggregate more depth than only on one. but even assuming there is only one venue, we pass on our economy of scale (fee tiers), HFT execution, and ability to internalize some risk. The answer here can be nuanced but I’d expect trading on Variational to be better than being a retail taker on “exchange A” alone, net of fees (remember, we have none)

24/7 programmable markets are just better. Markets run at software speed and are globally accessible. That’s why @JustinCBram is building one of the largest perp markets via @variational_io on the Arbitrum Platform.

btc/qqq is right back at the long-term trendline I’m actually surprised btc has held up this well against the AI trade. Crypto is still above “pre-ai” relative levels, but it’s hard to argue the ecosystem has compounded faster than AI over the last 3 years. Maybe this is the spot to bid and see if the line holds. Don't know, but BTC is still too expensive for me to bid! Still waiting to DCA $30-50k, fine if I miss it. Not enough upside relative to AI if we don't get a deep discount IMO.
