The @Mets formerly known as the Baby Mets are all giant disappointments. They all stink.

Mark Vientos is an awful player. To make it worse, he drops a ball and smiles after. This guy needs to be shipped out. He doesn’t belong in a @Mets uniform. Add that play to your IG, mark.

It’s time to send McLean down to the minors @Mets

Nolan McLean is not bad. He’s poorly developed. He has no control over his breaking balls. Hitters know it. They sit and wait. He either walks guys or throws a fastball on 3-2 and gives up a hit. His struggles are entirely on Stearns and his administration. And as long as Stearns is in charge the @Mets will suck.

I think David Stearns is the most unlikable guy in sports. Smug, arrogant, dismissive, and a guy that completely refused to accept his faults and mistakes. He’s just awful and every time he speaks it is worse than the last time. A complete failure of an executive but worse, a guy that really no one would want to hang out with. @Mets

I hope that Steve Cohen was watching carefully from his courtyard seat at MSG last night. The culture of winning comes from the top down and the @nyknicks recognized they had a problem. Instead of riding it out, they made big changes. Firing their GM in 2023 and firing their head coach after 2025 mattered. And at this point, @StevenACohen2 needs to begin the process of replacing David Stearns, a failed leader that has led the @Mets to become a laughing stock in @MLB.

Is the @nyknicks win the greatest NY sports victory since Game 6 of the @Mets 1986 World Series? Has there been anything in between that i am not thinking of or was that a once in 40 years occurrence?

Freddy Peralta is going to honestly tell the open market that he is worth 8 years and $218 million. What a complete joke. This guy is a back of the rotation guy. The @Mets thought they were getting an ace and he is a complete dud.

Juan Soto is awesome. He’s the best player on the @Mets without a doubt. But this team won’t win until he adopts the mentality of Jalen Brunson. It’s not about personal statistics. It’s about 1 thing. Winning. And that’s winning in NY, not in DC. Until he takes that next step there will always be a gaping hole in this team. I think he has it in him. But it’s time to show it. @JuanSoto25_ @jalenbrunson1

David Stearns really is a joke of a baseball executive. Jorge Polanco to replace Pete Alonso? That sounds like the opening line to a bad joke. Are there any @Mets fans that actually think Stearns is good at his job, and if so, explain yourself bc I’ll tell you right now, you’re wrong, and your explanation is wrong. He sucks

I watch the @nyknicks. I see the elation of their fans. And all I can think about is what it will be like when one day, maybe one day, the other blue and orange NY team can be in a true position to win it all. @Mets #LGM

Mark Vientos was an experiment that went bad. He can’t field. He can’t run. He can’t hit. And he thinks he is great at all of those things. Jared young is much more productive and should get the playing time. Vientos trade value is virtually non existent but he needs to be moved off this team ASAP. He just isn’t good and his lack of self awareness makes it worse. He is very good at exaggerating his accomplishments on instagram. So that’s one thing. @Mets

Even though this season has been very tough to watch, the outfield of the future is here and it’s exciting. Soto, Ewing and Benge will anchor this outfield for many years and will likely be the 1-2-3 at the top of the lineup eventually. These 3 will do a lot of exciting things in the years to come. I just hope this front office doesn’t give Luis Robert a day of playing time in the outfield when (if) he comes back from injury. He’s been replaced. @Mets #LGM

Ever since David Peterson shined as a leverage reliever in the 2024 NLDS, it has been apparent what his highest and best use is. He is a great reliever and has shown to be a subpar starter. Keep him where he shines and helps this team. Now, the @Mets just need to since the Manaea problem.

Last night was the first time the @Mets had a walk off win where I didn’t even react. No celebration. Nothing. Why? For one, they should have never been in that situation to begin with. But bc of terrible pitching and bonehead managing, they were once again trying to pry defeat from the jaws of victory. Second, I’m in Miami and have to listen to probably the worst play by play announcers in all of baseball. The @Marlins announcers are a complete joke. They’re hatred towards the Mets is greater than their love of their own team and it’s pathetic Last, the win further exposed how bad this team is. Their starting pitching is awful (Peralta just sucks), their bullpen is so overworked and it’s only end of May, and to rely upon MJ Melendez to do the job is not A recipe for success. On the bright side, they’re 2-0 since they matched their worst record in 2024 and they are 1-0 since Jameis Winston came on field to hang with Luke Weaver. @Jaboowins

Mendoza choosing Myers in a situation that calls for only Weaver. And the result is what is to be expected. Mendoza needs to be run out of town. @Mets

The 2024 @Mets had the exact same 22-33 record at this point in the season. Jorge Lopez threw his glove into the crowd and declared the Mets were the worst team in baseball. Then the magic happened. Grimace, OMG and the rest is history. While I’d love to thunk that history could repeat itself, it cant. This Mets team doesn’t have that in them and there is no magic run coming to save them.

I’m a big fan of AJ Ewing. But batting rookie call-up that is a speedy, lead-off style hitter in the clean up spot tells you all you need to know about what an utter failure David Stearns is. Juan Soto had Aaron Judge protecting him with the @yankees. He had Pete Alonso protecting him last season with the @Mets. Now he has AJ Ewing. It’s a sad state of affairs and I cannot, for the life of me, comprehend how David Stearns is still employed. He is the biggest failure in sports right now and the entire sports world is laughing at the Mets bc of him.

The @Mets fired every coach except Mendoza and somehow they managed to hire coaches that are even worse. McLean isn’t this bad. He just has no guidance and coaching. The one that should’ve been fired was Mendoza but in the best illustration of how bad David Stearns is, he chose to keep the one guy that was the worst of all of them. The ineptitude of this team and its brass is something to study. They simply do everything wrong at every level. It’s time to consider trading: Baty Vientos Brazoban Williams Weaver Bichette (but unlikely able to) The sad part is that unlike 2023, they don’t have much to offer in trades so the rebuild will be very very painful. They’ll be bottom feeding for guys like Jazz Chisolm and will never bid for Skubal. The team is fucked for years to come. It’s unreal how David Stearns destroyed this team so quickly.
