This was not a decision we came to lightly, but it needed to be done. The full details can be found below, but here’s the TL;DR. - Our relaunched token suffered from a tiny yet consequential bug that permanently disabled trading tax collection - All existing holders have been airdropped the exact number of tokens they held - The new token was deployed at the same price it was last trading at on the previous token, resulting in no loss in value - We immediately moved as much liquidity as we could from the previous LP to the new LP - The official $BSTR token address is now: 0xBFC5cD421bBC91A2Ca976C4AB1754748634b7D41 - Your holdings of the previous $BSTR can be swapped for the new $BSTR - We will be holding an AMA in our Discord server later today to answer your questions “But we just relaunched $BSTR a couple weeks ago!” you’re thinking... This is exactly why we needed to make this adjustment ASA-F’ing-P. Why? Well, the newly (re)launched $BSTR contract developed a misfire. From the outside, everything looked and functioned flawlessly, but on the back end, the taxes were not being collected. And without the taxes we have no DAO treasury, no cars to tokenize, and no capital for ongoing development. How was this bug missed? Long story short, an update was made to comply with the contract audit from Assure Defi. This correction made a single word in the tax-handling portion of the code conflict with another function. Assure did their job. Our developers did their job. But in the end a bug slipped through the cracks. For the record, we are not casting shade on any party. This was a fluke confluence of events that resulted in an unfortunate, but not insurmountable setback. And we greatly appreciate our developers at @DecentralBros, and our launch advisors/auditors at @AssureDefi for their past and ongoing support. So, here we are. The present moment, looking at the future. The deed is done and we are fully committed to the new $BSTR token.
