He reminds me of KT’s Kim Dong-hyun, their R1 pick two drafts ago
I attended his debut also and it was just not good
Some players of course have bad debuts and great careers, both these two pitchers look completely out matched not because of nerves but because of a lack of talent…

Maybe i’ll be proven wrong but in my opinion, Kim Min-jun is going to project as a 7th inning bullpen arm…i don’t think he has the stuff to be a weapon as a SP, or a high end RP…not sure why he was drafted in the first round let alone top 5
I had Kim Min-jun as my 8th ranked prospect, because he is more ‘ready now’ however his potential was always lower than players I ranked nearby lower (Oh Jae-won was ranked behind him at 9 but has way higher potential, just isn’t as ready for the big stage immediately)

After signing my #2 prospect in last years KBO draft Moon Seo-jun, the Toronto Blue Jays are now interested in signing top talent Kim Ji-woo
Kim Ji-woo is a TWP who plays 3B and is a RHP
Kim Ji-woo is my 3rd ranked prospect following Ha Hyun-seung and then Uhm Jun-sang, whom are all legit TWP’s
(Weekly Chosun reported the interest in Kim Ji-woo from an unnamed MLB club in the AL East)

With that being said, KBO fans should put their attention to this unicorn
Uhm Jun-sang can be great, but Ha Hyun-seung can be a perineal all star as a pitcher or batter, (hopefully they both stick as TWP) serious talent
MLB may have gotten #2, but the KBO got #1

Various players have went from the KBO to the MLB or through the IFA system to a MLB organization
I’ll say, I genuinely do think Uhm Jun-sang can make it to the big leagues, if he does, the kid has the tools to be an impact player
It’s hard for any amateur to go through the MILB up to MLB, even the top MLB draft prospects sometimes are busts, it’s a long process, but the talent is there for sure

Honestly super disappointed that we won’t get to see this kid in the KBO, I was really hoping he would be a Doosan Bears player, was ready to get his jersey, if he slid to 3, he would be playing next to Kim Do-yeong
Aside from being a stud prospect, one of my favorite prospects
