Rain coverage will be lower than yesterday, but our flood threat remains in place. Wednesday will be drier as an area of low pressure in the Gulf pulls moisture towards it. This has moderate potential to become a tropical depression/storm as it traverses near the coast.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY Rain and storms have already begun just off and along the coast. As the morning progresses, coverage will begin to push northward and move into the Brazos Valley. Any rainfall will pose a flood threat due to saturated grounds from yesterday.

Getting ready for a pattern change. Heat and brief showers will stick around through Saturday. Then deep, tropical moisture arrives and starts to fuel downpours on Sunday. On Monday, moisture interacts with a weak front, sparking the potential for heavy rain and flooding.

Keeping things consistent! Temperatures will make another run toward the low to mid 90s with feels-like temps 8 to 10° warmer than what the thermometer reads. Rain chances are slightly higher today, but showers will still be brief. Then we brace for a pattern change next week.

Another sticky and humid morning! We have a lower chance of finding showers today compared to the last few afternoons, but we will still use that moisture to build up our heat index. We'll find more of the same to wrap up the week before tropical rainfall returns next week.

Keeping an eye on the Gulf👀 A broad area of low pressure could develop in the Bay of Campeche over the next few days. The odds of this organizing are low due to wind shear, but it could assist in pulling in more moisture, supporting next week's rain chances.

Sticking to a typical summertime weather pattern for the rest of the week. Afternoon highs will make another run to the 90s with feels-like temps in the triple digits. We do find a bit of a pattern change as early as this weekend, which could boost rain potential next week.

No big surprises here, we are waking up to another muggy morning. We'll try to tap into that moisture to bring up a few showers this afternoon, but coverage will be isolated at best. If we can't find rain, we'll put the moisture to work in the form of heat indices 100° .
