I had a migraine but sat down to write anyway, and wrote a really emotional story based on a dream I had. This process involved some crying. Am I correct to assume that writing and crying is a cure for migraines, because I feel better? #amwriting #amcrying #writerlife

Christmas trip has been humbling. Had a reaction to contaminated fish the other day, passed out and broke my nose. Grateful for ER workers and paramedics. so happy to be here with my family. It could have been worse.

Sometimes, it feels like the world is trying to devalue human writing and human voices. AI has a lot of potential to do good in this world, but I do believe these things still matter. And yet, I've got Jimmy Buffet lyrics in my head: "yes, I am a pirate, 200 years too late...."
