Please @ me for my attention. I'm back (ish), but my attention span isn't great and my following list is long. I'm not planning to let Twitter overtake my life again when I have books to write.
There's nothing quite like passing by someone on a dirt lane. You can tell something about a person by how they wave back. Are they friendly do they raise all four fingers on the wheel? Or are they tired and only raised 2 or 3 1/2? #countrythings #amwriting #reference

I think this is just about the nicest thing an author could possibly say to another.

While I am on the ballot in Best Novella, I cast my own vote for @catvalente's THE PAST IS RED, which I continue to view as a once-in-a-lifetime work of staggering genius. This book makes people better. I truly hope to lose to it.

Friends, I have a question for you. Besides Godzilla: King of Monsters and Moonfall, can you think of any other recent media that contains a well meaning conspiracy theorist who happens to be right about their theories? #AskTwitter

It doesn't need to be limited to movies. I'm interested in any form of media. Books, video games, what have you.
There is so much paint on my hands. So much. In other news, my room looks about 1,000,000 times better.
1200 words so far today. Now bathroom and kitchen cleaning. I'm a ball of excitement.
Right now I'm working on a short story whose idea goes back almost ten years. I've stripped almost everything off of it but some of the core ideas and am trying to rebuild it with something new. Coincidentally, need to research diseases that are curable but deadly if untreated.
Do you ever see someone reference something and think "Gee, I hope that wasn't me." But you can't be 100% certain it wasn't because you did some not great stuff during that period of your life? Yeah. Hope it wasn't me. #BeKind #DontBeTheReasonSomeoneElseQuitsWhatTheyLove
Every time I get even a little nostalgic for when I was on Twitter a lot, I see some shit show and suddenly I’m way less nostalgic. And Twitter is helpfully showing me a few such shit shows in my recommendations, so I guess there’s that.
Listening to “An Afro-Indigenous History of the United States” by Kyle T Mays. Very interesting and insightful look look at the intertwined histories of these two marginalized communities. About halfway through and would highly recommend it. Great voice, excellent presentation.

This is Tinsley. She was in a car accident with her humans last night. She escaped the wreckage, got the attention of police, and led them all the way back to the site of the crash. Her humans are being treated and expected to survive. Tinsley is awarded our very rare… 15/10

Don’t make new years resolutions; make pacts with ancient forest beasts, make promises to old gods, make pledges to the deep wood, and most of all, trade your immortal soul for a terrible power that curls across your skin like uncurling ferns as you move through trembling pines

There are some days I’d love to get back onto Twitter. There are days I miss it. Then I remember the...everything and just continue my life a little happier off Twitter. Hi, please DM/mention if you want to talk because I’m not going to notice otherwise.

I recently read Axiom’s End by @thelindsayellis and am now reading Project Hail Mary by @andyweirauthor. They’re both first contact stories but vastly different in content and concept. I’m liking the variation. Anyone have any recommendations for other good first contact stories?
Folding a fitted sheet by yourself is like wrestling a bear. If you don’t understand you either haven’t folded enough fitted sheets or you haven’t wrestled enough bears.

Watched Train to Busan last night. Excellent zombie flick! Would definitely recommend it if you haven’t seen it. I know the writer was just working with capitalism, but damn if it doesn’t feel like they predicted so, so much of 2020. #TraintoBusan #FuckRailroadTrump

Goddammit. The rest of the world is moving on while I’m locked in my house because my country is a huge asshole.
