ALT The title reads: Annoucning our new Co-Director of the EDGE Summer Program
Below is a beautiful headshort of Dr. Candice Price on a lanscape background. Below her picture, the text reads: Dr. Candice Price, Associate Professor of Math, Smith College
Two paragraphs of text are on the right side of the graphic: Candice Price is known for her advocacy for diversity in STEM fields and her mentorship of aspiring mathematicians, particularly from underrepresented backgrounds. She has received numerous awards and honors for her contributions, including the 2022 Mathematics Association of America Inclusivity Award.
But I was not alone! Dr. Ethan Doherty (a postdoc with me in @ClemsonCAFLS and @KCookMathLab in @ClemsonScience) gave a great talk on his research modeling Asian longhorned beetle dispersal behavior. This work will help improve our ability to detect this #invasivespecies.
