🍊🍊Morning thoughts🍊🍊
One of the things I suffered with for years was how I could live a life with God after all of the terrible things I did. I knew he would forgive me if ai asked, but I truthfully felt I couldn't ask because I didn't deserve it.
How could I be in his presence with all I had done? How could I ever "fit in" with so many clean souls knowing my past?
But a young man who works for me stopped me in my tracks and read these to me...
God doesn't just "forgive" your sin. He FORGETS it. He says so multiple times. It is as it never happened. Your soul is clean. If it were not this way, he would not have said it again and again.
So to all of those living in guilt and pain even after turning to God, read these words and realize you are being so hard on yourself when even God has decided the past is GONE.... G....O.....N.....E..... GONE....
You are not that person, and to God, you never were.
Hebrew 8:12 - "For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”
Hebrew 10:16-17 - "This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.
Then he adds:
“Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.”
Isaiah 43:25 - “I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more."
Lift up your head, give it to God to cast away forever, and take the gift he has offered you. Not just eternal Salvation tomorrow, but absolute GRACE today. You are forgiven. You are free. Your debt is paid. Your soul is pure. Your sin is forgotten.
Jesus said, in Matthew,
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
He meant every.... single..... word.....
And I promise you this. I promise... when he says, "Come to me" he means he will take your burden INSTANTLY. Not over time, not after X amount of prayers, not after X amount of deeds. Instantly.
This weekend is his resurrection. A time he showed that death could not hold him. A time that he rose up and took the despair and torment of his death away from his deciples, and took our sins forever...
This could also be the weekend of your spiritual resurrection from a dirty sinner to a clean soul. No better time than today.
Have a wonderful weekend.
