Dear Mom,
Its been a while since ive visited you. I still think about you everyday, i talk about you to my friends and strangers all the time. We made a promise, I would keep you alive down here, you watch out for me from up there. Looks like we both kept our promise.
However, there was one other promise we made and that is why I am here today. I didnt forget.
You would always ask me why I was a knicks fan if all they ever did was break my heart and let me down. You called it an โabusive relationshipโ and told me to find another team. Me find another team? Madness. I dont blame you though, when i was a kid i would make your life a living hell if we lost, which was all the time lolol. You said that the knicks would NEVER win the championship. You were so confident, that You promised me you would take your first shot of liquor with me if the Knicks would ever win the championship.
Well guess what Mom. The knicks won the championship this weekend, and im here to collect my winnings. Something tells me you knew this already because of all the signs you sent me. On Mothers Day, the knicks couldnt miss a shot. We call it the Motherโs Day Massacre. I mean even Josh Hart was hitting 3s, and Mikal Bridges actually went to the free throw line. Kat actually guarded the PNR with Maxey and embiid. Gotta be divine lolol. I reconnected with my childhood friends after 20 years, the people i became knicks fans with when i was 5-6. Everyone was there, Sammy, schloss, jeff, nick, chad, nidel. We came back from 29 and won by the hand of god that game. Goosebumps. They all send their regards. But I know you know.
This one is for you mom, I know you hate losing and the first shot always tastes the worst, so i brought you some flowers to sweeten it up
Knicks are champions and today we cheers. Promises made, promises kept. We did it ๐ฅ๐
P.S- Im sure she knows already but tell
@KarlTowns mom that her son is a Champion and that he brought so much joy to us and brought us closer together. I, and this city will forever have his back ๐งก๐
