It's a very dreich day here today, but in between the showers I managed a mid morning walk. A wonderful sight to see 2 Tall Ships moored alongside. 'The Flying Dutchman' and 'Thalassa'.

Yes, we all know what happens when we see rainbows. The rain has been intermittent here today, with fab rainbows last night.

I'm now home after my 14 day mini #grandtour of #France #Switzerland & #Italy
It has been the most incredible trip by rail, staying in hotels & also reconnecting with friends. I've been with some family, but also reconnected with places my family had visited over 100 years ago

Greetings from my first day in #Verona where the temp is only 24 degrees. Its been a lovely day though re-exploring the city I last visited in 2019.
Lots of stops for food, gelato and essential mineral water too.

After a wonderful time in #Switzerland I have now journeyed to #Italy to stay with friends in Verona for a few days. Pics from Interlaken this morning, Milano Centrale and wonderful clouds approaching Verona.

Guten Tag from myself and my nice Izzy from Thunersee, Switzerland, where we went to by Steamer yesterday. Such a glorious colour of the turquoise water and beautiful chalet houses and castles too.

Bonjour or it might be Guten Tag! After a very long day on 4 trains yesterday after 3 nights in Paris, I've now arrived in Switzerland. It rained heavily overnight, but so far it looks amazing. My niece Izzy arrives later today and we are here for a few days..Pics from my hotel.

To a packed audience, with standing room only, we listened 2 readings, discussed our own lives & our own stratigraphy; all in all, a memorable evening for everyone.
