Thallium was discovered in 1861. Scientists #WilliamCrookes & #ClaudeAugusteLamy used flame spectroscopy to make elements emit colours when burned. #Thallium's colour was green!

🧪 Polonium, with the symbol Po, was discovered by Marie and Pierre #Curie in 1898. It's a highly radioactive element found in trace amounts in uranium ores. Its radioactivity was the first clue to its existence!
