SD releasing a fairly safe OTA so they can enjoy the holidays without fear of something being broken.

Good month to save Spotlight keys. Buy Galacta / Doom, the rest are mid.

If Pocket did OTAs like Snap, what would your ideal changes be? Here are mine: - Pika: Dmg capped to 80 (20 base 20 for each bench) - Mewtwo: Retreat cost up to 3 - Misty: can target any type, but only one flip - Blastoise: Hyrdo Bazooka base dmg up to 120 - Starmie: 80 dmg

Feels like Snap is unplayable 3 of the 7 days of the week: both hot location days and card release days have warped metas which are a terrible experience if you want to just play "normal Marvel Snap". Curious how others feel.

@SnapDecks @snapjudgecast 🔥 list for you all before the OTA. 10-0 on inf. conquest and hit top 40/9k sp. I present Greedy Pixie. The idea is Pixie/Wiccan have risk of being inconsistent standalone, so you tie them together Hope to ensure you ramp 6 drops. Deck notes ⬇️

- This deck makes some minor concessions to the typical Wiccan build (no Kitty package), but runs a very heavy top end to make use of Pixie. - Hitting both Pixie Wiccan is a practically an unbeatable high roll. Alioth shuts down any nonsense.

- Snap Condition 1: Snap on Pixie if you have two or less of your top end (Klaw, Mag, Emp Hulk, Alioth) in hand. Mobius is nice to have but not necessary. Snap Condition 2: Snap on Wiccan if your opponent is stumbling a bit with their curve.

I think I'm higher on Emp Hulkling than most. For these Wiccan shells that run double 6 drops, the 6 alongside Alioth never seems like an impressive card. Hulkling will whiff sometimes for sure, but the cube equity you get will make it worth it.

After struggling a bit this season and tanking outside the T100, PF has gained me 300 sp in the last couple days. The meta is fairly clog heavy, and SK is practically nonexistent right now. @SnapDecks

Since the last series drop (June 4), 8 cards were added to Spotlights, bringing total S4/S5 cards to 73! With two existing cards appearing in weekly caches, with no dupes, it takes 36 weeks / 8.4 mths to see a card you passed again. Drops need to be monthly or this gets worse!

July Predictions, Post 1 of 3: Gwenpool (Rating: 4/5): Perhaps BiS generic 4, with plenty of synergy Hydra Bob (Rating: 1/5): A 1/4 vanilla probably would not see play outside of Zoo. A 1/4 with a downside def. doesn't see play.

Post 2 of 3 Ajax (2/5): Nerf to 5 hurts, but you can make a decent combo deck with Hazmat/Mystique. However, it vulnerable as all combo decks are. Copycat (5/5): Best card this month. Asymmetric info, mill synergy & a power creep on Iron Lad. Will unseat Nocturne as the default 3

Post 3 of 3 Cassandra Nova (2/5): Assuming we live in a non-Arishem world for this rating. This card isn't terrible, but has the same problem that Phastos does, where it's considerably worse the later you play it.

June Card Postmortem to keep me honest: Nailed Thena (4), Gilgamesh (3), Sersi (3) and Makkari (1). I was too high on Phastos (probably is a 2/5 card) and too low on Arishem (either a 4 or 5), but I did miss the Blob/Mystique/Rogue interactions.

Phastos (Rating: 4/5) Could whiff, but potentially this gives Surfer the ability to have two early draws (Forge/Brood, Phastos) that can be early snap conditions. My hesitation is that you might clunk up your curve because Surfer will really want to both Hope and Phastos on 3.

Makkari (Rating: 1/5) "Lose a draw, gain 3 power in a random lane". They could have pushed this to a 4/4 statline. The problem with this in Surfer is that board space is at a premium with Brood/Abs. Ultimately I don't think the upside is worth the card slot or missed draw.

Arishem (Rating: 2/5) Will be hard to evaluate in the first week since I imagine Darkhawk will be running rampant. I think you want to run this in Loki, but the question is if that's the best way to run Loki. I doubt it, but it gives Loki more highroll potential.

Thena (Rating: 4/5) Imo the strongest and most flexible card of the month. Fits well into Angela decks as more redundancy for early scalers. Running both will shift that deck to running preventive tech like Cage/Cosmo. Loki or midrange Hope is where I expect to see Thena.

Sersi (Rating: 3/5) Most compelling thing I've seen is using Sersi as a backup to Annihilus to transform the Void into a 5. We just had a season with Jubilee/Leech into Blink curve. This seems like a less powerful and reliable thing to do, but still maybe playable.
