My only complaint with this drama is that since they wanted to go the route of diagnosing him with BD, they should not have included the rape scene.I know it’s a big part of the og novel, but it can create a stereotype that pe with BD are all inherently predatory and dangerous.😭

The reason I was led to watching Double Helix was because I have watched the old movie and the novel, which both ended with a bitter taste in my mouth; I was hoping the series would bring a happier ending for my XiaoChen and my LuFeng

The book and the original adaptation being the reason why I feel so attached to #DoubleHelix in the 1st place, had I never come across them my view on DH would’ve been a lot more objective, ofc I have my complaints with certain directory choices and the unpolished acting but —
