Our SCs on the Dog Unit support handlers by crewing directly with them operationally as well as supporting the Police Kennel Staff with peak demand -CF

Yesterday PD KIT alongside Handler PC Bowman and S/Sergeant Frost @KentSpecials deployed to Newington following reports of an RTC where a suspected drink driver had fled the scene.
There was no hiding from PD KIT - 1 Male now in custody for drink driving and other offences -CF

PD Boris is due to retire this week after a successful career with Kent Police. Just a few weeks ago, his handler had a pursuit with a vehicle in #Iwade. The driver tried to run, but PD Boris showed he's still got it & he detained the male who was arrested for several offences.

PD Boris joined the Unit as a puppy almost 6 years ago and has assisted with apprehending numerous suspects, locating vulnerable people, and sniffing out vital evidence/property items. He has proved himself to be a valuable asset who will be greatly missed. Maybe not by everyone!

PD Biggy successfully detained a male this morning who was found hiding up a tree. The male is suspected to be linked to a motorbike theft in the #Snodland area and ran away from officers. He has been arrested for several offences with 2 stolen bikes recovered. 31-0089 refers. DC

PD Bear deployed to #Appledore last night to assist with a search for a male who ran off following multiple assaults and threats. After extensive area search lasting over 45 minutes, PD Bear located the suspect hiding in undergrowth and was safely arrested. CAD 24-1462 refers. DC
