With the conclusion of this years spring 3A state championships, it also marks the completion of the staff’s first four-year class. Yes, the group was successful, establishing a culture of winning, but most important is the quality of people, leaders, and teammates they were.

The hugs when a teammate had a bad day or performance or is going through personal things, the thoughtfulness of gifts, the camaraderie among one another, those are the things teammates will remember, and the things coaches appreciate more than the athletes can imagine.

So to my graduating track class, thank you for being so special. You are loved, you will be missed, and you are appreciated, both for your efforts on the track, but more importantly for the quality of individuals you are off the track. Go make your dream come true!
