Tomorrow I’ll be tackling ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ for my final project this week. I always try to provide a bank of imagery for kids to use as inspiration, even if we don’t use it all I think it subconsciously seeps into their work. I enjoy putting stuff like this together. 😊

The 3rd book in The Twitchers series is called #CLUTCH. Set in spring, in the Easter holidays, it’ll be flying into bookshops in the 1st week of April 2023. @paddy cover is staggeringly pretty. I’ll be doing the cover reveal next Monday, so stay tuned for the joys of spring.

If there was more media coverage of children's books, I might not be so worried about Twitter's future. But this has been the best place to find out what's happening in children's books, and to meet other people who share our love of children's books. I hope this space survives.

What's the most important thing in education? If a child leaves primary school with a genuine love of reading, that will have a bigger positive impact on their life chances than any "measurable outcome". There is nothing more important than READING FOR PLEASURE. #literacy
