Vielen Dank für das offene Gespräch mit meinem ungarischen Amtskollegen Pèter Szijjártó. Gerade auch im Lichte der beunruhigenden steigenden Gewaltbereitschaft gegenüber Schwulen und Lesben habe ich ihm meine Sorge über die aktuelle Gesetzgebung in Ungarn hinsichtlich der Freiheit der LGBTIQ Community mitgeteilt. Grund- & Menschenrechte sind das Fundament unserer Europäischen Union und sind die Grundlage für die individuelle Freiheit eines jeden Menschens.

It‘s crunchtime! BiH has to be part of the #EU and we want the #EuCo to finally give green light for opening accession talks. But there is still work to be done - reforms cannot be imposed from the outside.

A year ago today, we lost one of our great mentors, philanthropist, reconciler, & visionary – Erhard Busek.
With him, Austria lost one of its greatest Europeans.
Unfortunately, we can no longer rely on the knowledge he devoted to building future. But we can follow his example.
