Players like Ndiaye who openly talk about leaving the club etc should be treated exactly the same as Barry btw, he won’t though but he should be

Absurd is one word for a club overspending, a rival going down because of it, and the rival using the compensation process that already exists. We didn’t make the rules or the breach. If the award’s too big, that’s the appeal’s job, fair enough. The principle’s sound.

The more you read of this Burnley case the more absurd it gets, this 3 person panel has an agenda

How the hell can it be the same panel that gave Everton the initial points deduction that was reduced on appeal? That’s a clear case of an agenda based decision surely?

People wanting us to go in and pay £20m for a player in the last year of his contract without any sort of negotiation in the exact reason we ended up in the mess we did

Been offered three contracts and turned them all down. Told the club they don’t match his ambition and he wants to leave.

Yep
TFG are hugely ambitious. They have invested €1bn in Roma & are trying to construct a new stadium. Roma are vying for a UCL place under Gasperini, who has been backed. TFG have already injected ~£100m after taking over Everton per CH filings (on top of all the cash they spent acquiring the club). This number is now likely higher. They attracted well known minority investors into Everton. They created the Pursuits Sport platform. They have also spun off the Women's team (with Goodison) and created an ambitious plan for growth there, attracting investors. They arranged a long term, cheap refinancing of Everton's stadium debt. They have created a commercial structure at the club which has attracted a slew of high profile sponsors. In 17 months since taking over, the club has taken huge strides off the pitch in matters which TFG can directly influence. On the pitch is where it matters & recruitment is fundamental. Introduction of SCR creates more head room than PSR. So, I am perplexed by these comments. If SCR allowed us to, I am pretty sure TFG would support very sizeable spending. But, it is down to Moyes & the recruitment team to maximise quality we have within the limit that is imposed by league rules. The SCR limit we have will, from this summer be around 10th/11th highest in the league (reflecting where our turnover will rank). So we can't spend billions, but we should be able to outspend half the teams in the league. The absolute SCR ceiling will also grow as our revenues grow year on year.
