Chaos, destruction and disorder in the streets. Murder, violence, looting, and wanton destruction! Oh, wait, it's Necromunda, business as usual. youtu.be/i82-3GHFUV4 #Necromunda #warhammer

A post about rejection in the writing world, and how you respond to it can be more important than the actual rejection. kalspriggs.substack.com/p/wr…

Just a reminder that we're only 2 weeks into the release of my 47th novel and the 10th book of my Children of Valor series. It's still sitting as a #1 New Release. Have you read it? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Congratulations to all the great indie authors who have published their work! Completing the story is more than most people who say they want to write a book will ever do. Finding the audience is the next task. I don't promise anything if you list your book, but my site is free for authors, readers, and reviewers and I do put my money on the line to try to connect to readers. (Although I do have a donation option to help out.) The site is limited to based indie (self and small press published by my definition) sci-fi and fantasy. I research the books and authors (if I'm not already aware of their cultural leanings) to keep out "the message" (aka modern nonsense). Readers can rest assured that books are curated in that. (Google AI is great for my research--it loves to prop up exactly the ideas I reject.)

Someone at the day job just asked me if a villain character from one of my books was inspired by a mutual acquaintance. I had to say no. For legal reasons.

Regarding Henry Cavil doing Warhammer 40k on Amazon: Everyone is over there saying they want him to be the Emperor or Robute, meanwhile, I am over here saying he'd make a damned fine Alpharius/Omegon. Just saying, that way we get him playing two roles.

The cancelation of the Stargate refresh is about par the course for all studios. They want to take a franchise and do a complete artistic reboot to tell the story *they* want and berate existing fans for not liking it. We need to Make Amazingly Good Movies Again (MAGMA)

So, I have a simple proposal. Very simple. Movies have sucked for, I dunno, like 10 years or so. There's an occasional gem, most of them are terrible. Let's change that people. I propose a movement to Make Awesomely Good Movies Again, "MAGMA."

Okay, it's Friday, I'm at 72K words on the current novel. I have a full weekend, plenty of caffeine, lots of ideas, and the ambition to finish this sucker. Let's see what I can get done!

My thoughts on Starship Troopers. I was 12 yrs old, I had no idea about MilSF, all I knew, was I wanted to read more. It's a future where citizenship has to be earned, where humanity fights an existential threat, and where Mobile Infantry battle those threats. I love it.

Okay friends, trying something new with a cover for my first urban fantasy novel: In Death's Shadow. For curb appeal, which one makes you want to take a second look?
