Last week, on 9th January, the Sonapur Excise Circle raided various roadside dhabas and eateries at Tepesia, Patorkuchi, Hatimura, during their regular patrolling.
A case was detected under section 61(b)a of the Assam Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.
Rs. 2500 as fine was realised.

The Dispur Excise Circle on 09th January, 2024, raided the areas of Bortila hillside, Khanapara Deba Nagar, Borbari Sixmile, Hengrabari.
The team recovered -
F/W - 450 kgs.
I/D liquor - 70 litres
D.A. Set - 3 number
IMFL - 9.36 B.L. (Sale in Meghalaya)

The Noonmati and Panbazar Excise Circle respectively, raided the areas of Narengi, Mathgharia, Noonmati, Panbazar, Lachit ghat etc. on 3rd January, 2024.
ID Liquor of approximately 25 litres were recovered, seized and destroyed on the spot.
