I had the pleasure of presenting today at #NERD2024 and I also got to cheer Rebecca on as she enters HSED while I’m leaving it. Bittersweet but I can’t wait to see her journey unfold. I’ve grown so much and I know she will too!

This afternoon I co-presented at #STLHESAPES2023 a course evaluation project with a mentor of mine, Jenn Nash. This prompted a reflection on the privilege and power of mentorship and the profoundly positive impact Jenn has had on my teaching philosophy and approach to education.

Very excited to be attending this year’s @STLHESAPES conference. Feeling lucky to be in beautiful Prince Edward Island surrounded by incredibly inspiring leaders in education. Looking forward to presenting, listening, and learning this week!

This week I had the pleasure of watching my supervisor @anita_acai accept this year’s HSGSA Excellence in Supervision Award at the FHS Graduate Plenary. Dr. Acai’s support and dedication to her students is unmatched and this recognition could not be more deserved!

I had the pleasure of attending Rida and Joshua's poster presentations for their undergraduate thesis last week. I am incredibly proud of all their hard work this year, using their research to advocate for improved support and resources for students considering medical school.

Dr. Javeed Sukhera (@javeedsukhera) is our November #HPEScholarSpotlight! He is an Associate Clinical Professor @YaleMed and Chair of Psychiatry @IOLPsychRes. Dr. Sukhera's #MedEd work explores implicit bias recognition - as well as training, equity, and stigma in #HPE.

My mom didn't graduate from high school. This week I crossed the stage @UofT with my oldest baby there to cheer me on. I'm #proud to cheer her on now as she starts her own graduate studies journey #strongwomen #womensupportwomen #educationispower
