Kasey please
Hull City need to sell around £6M worth of players by the end of the month to ensure the club don’t break Financial Fair Play rules, which could lead to a points deduction. Mason Burstow, Abu Kamara, Enis Destan, Abdus Omur & Kasey Palmer could all leave. ❌ (@hulllive) #hcafc

In Today's game, this goal would have been disallowed. Are too many rules killing the game?
Community note
It would almost certainly be allowed under today’s rules (IFAB Laws of the Game and VAR protocols). The contact is minimal, natural for balance/shielding in a dynamic skill move, and not a clear and obvious foul warranting disallowance, nor is there a hand ball. theifab.com/laws-of-the-ga…

Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper Augusto Batalla showed incredible awareness and sportsmanship by sitting down on the pitch to alert the referee to a medical emergency in the stands, making sure the situation got immediate attention. 👏 Wishing the supporter a full recovery. 🤞

Anyone with any knowledge of English football history will know that it is ridiculous for Southampton’s chief executive, Phil Parsons, to claim that their expulsion from the Championship play-offs is a bigger punishment than the 30-point deduction imposed on Luton Town in 2008 which led to relegation and almost throttled the life out of the club. Absolutely no comparison and completely weakens Southampton’s attempted argument that being thrown out of the play-offs is “manifestly disproportionate to every previous sanction in the history of the English game”. There is some good stuff in Parsons’ statement: accepting culpability for Spygate, apologising to those clubs they spied on and apologising to their fans “whose extraordinary loyalty and support this season deserved better from the club”. Well said. But… the rules changed since Leeds United’s “similar offence” in 2019, there is no right to the £200m (it’s not a fine), and to play the whataboutery game and make the comparison with the Hatters is, fittingly, mad. Southampton’s reputation is certainly damaged but at least their very existence is not at risk. #SaintsFC #LTFC

Actually feel for Hull here.
Saturday's Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final between Hull City and Middlesbrough will kick-off at 15:30. Should the outcome of the ongoing appeal process result in the Final being contested by Hull City and Southampton, the kick-off time for the fixture will remain at 16:30. #EFL

Yeah, clearly.
🚨 Southampton players are considering LEGAL ACTION against the club after being kicked out of the Championship playoff final for allegedly spying on rivals’ training sessions. 😳 The squad are furious after Middlesbrough were reinstated for the Wembley final against Hull, with tensions inside the dressing room now said to be at breaking point. 💥 (Source: Guardian)

Oh 🤣 Boro will go up now, just watch 😅
An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training. In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table. The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed. 📘 efl.com/news/2026/may/19/efl…
