My friend's mum, who's in her 70s, lives in East Grinstead where there's still no water. Today she put on a shower cap and went into her garden to have a shower in the rain. I just can't even imagine how people are coping.

My oldest son and husband are sleeping in a different hotel room to me and our twins. My son just rang me on the room phone to say good night. We chatted and then he asked āhow do I end the call?ā āJust put the phone down,ā I answered.
